You can use a domain or subdomain that you own for your Crowdstack. Select one of the following domain options to learn how to configure things:
If you own your own top-level domain, you can use that for your site. Please note that we do not sell domain names, so you'll need to purchase your own domain at an accredited domain registrar like Namecheap.
To apply your own top-level domain to your site, you'll need to update your CNAME Record and set up an A Record via your domain registrar.
Step 1: Add CNAME and A Records
Add a CNAME record. You will be providing a HOST and VALUE pair. For the HOST, enter www and for the VALUE enter tnvalleytalks.hoop.la.
If you see a TTL field, you can leave that as-is (usually "automatic").
Basically, you are telling your registrar to direct all requests to your domain to this new location (your Crowdstack).
Add an A record (so that the non www version of your domain also directs to your Crowdstack). For the HOST (sometimes called "Source") field, enter @ and then set the VALUE to 199.255.144.118
Note: Some domain registrars prefer that you set the root domain (for example, yourdomain.com) as the host instead of @. We recommend that you check the "Adding an A record" documentation of your domain registrar.
Step 2: List the custom domain in your Crowdstack
On your Crowdstack, go to
and click "Use Custom Domain" and "Top Level Domain" and provide the domain name you are using. If you own your domain and want to use a subdomain of that domain for your community site, you'll only need to add a CNAME record, using the steps below.
Add a CNAME record. You will be providing a HOST and VALUE pair. For the HOST field, enter the subdomain name (for example, you would enter "community" if your subdomain is "community.yourdomain.com"), and for the VALUE field enter:
If you see a TTL field, you can leave that as-is (usually "automatic").
